For more than four decades, 20/20 Vision Care has been proud to care for families in McAllen and throughout the Rio Grande Valley. Founded in 1988 by Dr. Fred Farias III, our practice was built on the belief that quality eye care should be personal, thoughtful, and tailored to each individual patient.
In July 2025, we welcomed Dr. Idelish Gonzalez to the practice. Dr. Gonzalez is now also caring for many of Dr. Farias’ longtime patients, helping continue the relationships and tradition of personalized care that have been at the heart of 20/20 Vision Care for generations.
Our doctors bring decades of combined experience, but what matters most to us is getting to know our patients and their families. We take the time to listen, understand your vision needs, and provide care you can feel confident in—along with a carefully selected collection of eyewear to help you look and feel your best.
Whether you’re visiting us for your first eye exam or you’ve been part of the 20/20 Vision Care family for years, we’re grateful for the trust you place in us.
We look forward to welcoming you and your family to 20/20 Vision Care.
