Meet Dr. Gonzalez
Dr. Gonzalez is proud to call the Rio Grande Valley home. Born and raised in McAllen, Texas, she has a deep connection to the community and is excited to provide quality, personalized eye care to the people of the RGV.
She earned her degree in Biology with a minor in Philosophy from the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley before earning her Doctor of Optometry degree from the Illinois College of Optometry in Chicago. Throughout her training, she gained valuable clinical experience- earing clinical honors at Michigan Eye Institute in Flint, Michigan; Vision Point Eye Center in Bloomington, Illinois; the Illinois Eye Institute in Chicago, Illinois; and EyeCare Pro in San Antonio, Texas.
Dr. Gonzalez has experience in comprehensive eye care, including the management of diabetic eye disease, glaucoma, and dry eye. She believes that great eye care goes beyond simply checking your vision. She takes the time to listen to her patients, understand their individual needs, and make sure they feel comfortable and informed about their eye health.
She is a member of the Rio Grande Valley Optometric Association, Texas Optometric Association and the American Optometric Association and is committed to continuing her education so she can provide her patients with the highest level of care.
Outside of the office, Dr. Gonzalez enjoys spending time with her husband, their two cats, and extended family. She loves staying active through golf, getting lost in a good book, cooking, and spending time in the garden.
As a lifelong resident of the Rio Grande Valley, Dr. Gonzalez looks forward to welcoming you and your family to the practice and becoming your trusted partner in maintaining healthy vision for years to come.
